There is an old saying, “Let sleeping dogs lie.” Such a conservative belief in the immutability of the past is anathema to us at the IHT Insurance Agency Group. Indeed, we have adopted a philosophy that is almost directly opposed to such a quiescent attitude. We strongly believe that if the old way of doing business isn't working, then it is pointless tinkering about with it – simply get rid of it and create a newer, better-functioning model. And this model, firmly believes IHT Insurance, boosts your business exponentially.
We have adopted this philosophy ever since the IHT Insurance Agency Group was formed. Indeed, we have been causing a considerable stir in the usually placid waters of the insurance industry by introducing ground-breaking changes in the way of finding competitive insurance rates.
In the not-so-distant past, different agents tended to work alone. Naturally, this meant having limited resources, with the single agent having access to only a couple of different carriers and markets. The practical effects this had on the customer was disastrous. It meant that the consumer was essentially deprived of the choice to find the best possible deal on the market, for the simple reason that there were no other options. So, the client would be handed an insurance policy that was very often overpriced and almost always containing details that were non-specific to that client's actual needs. We are not suggesting that the insurance companies were doing this for any unscrupulous reasons. Only that they themselves had only limited choice in what they could offer. Therefore, they adopted a kind of, “One shoe fits all,” policy. A bad system for both insurer and consumer – and one definitely not considered by IHT an insurance solution.
IHT Insurance Agency Group was conceived by a handful of fed-up insurance agents, who realised that the existing system was simply not working. We discussed the situation as often as we could and eventually decided to start our own company, IHT Insurance Agency Group. What we decided to do seems, on the face of it, to be obvious: instead of insurance agents being forced to work alone in isolated markets and with virtually no resources, these agents could join the newly-formed IHT Insurance Group and effectively group all their resources under one roof. Therefore, almost overnight, the agent suddenly found themselves enjoying insurance markets and carriers from all over America. Good news for the agent, and very good news for the consumer.
