At IHT Insurance Agency Group, we are passionate about the insurance industry. We started out as a group of like-minded individuals who realized that consumer needs were changing and that the insurance market needed to adapt to meet those needs. Our motto is “Integrity, Honesty, and Trust” and these are the principles our company is built upon. This mission statement is so important to us that we named IHT after it.
In the past, agents worked alone, which meant that obviously they had limited resources. A single agent only had access to a few carriers and this had a negative effect on their business and on their customers. Customers often had to take an insurance policy which was overpriced and wasn’t suited specifically for their needs. It wasn’t necessarily that agents wanted to saddle their customers with these bad “one size fits all” policies, which weren’t designed with their needs in mind. It was just that they didn’t have a choice due to their limited options. This old way of doing business doesn’t work for us at IHT Insurance Agency Group where we believe in helping people, simply because it doesn’t work. In fact our main goal is to provide independent insurance agencies with direct access to the widest range of top insurance carriers in the industry. We believe that this benefits not only the agent, but also their customers. This new model serves both insurance agents and customers in a much more efficient way than the old one.
Our philosophy which comes up again and again in our catch phrases such as “achieve independence” and “enjoy independence” is simply that: independence for insurance agents who want to provide their customers with the right policy for the right price. By providing them with direct access and direct communication with multiple carriers such as Allied Insurance, MetLife, Encompass, and many more, we ensure that they get this independence.
